Covid-19 Solutions/Sample Storage BufferThe Geneaid Universal Transport Tube (UTM) is intended for transportation of infectious samples suspected of containing virus and bacteria, especially suitable for SARS-CoV-2 transportation. The Geneaid UTM consists of a 7 mL storage tube with a cap containing 1 mL or 3 mL of the medium. The formulation of the Geneaid UTM includes Hank's balanced salt solution to maintain pH and osmotic balance, antibiotics to minimize bacterial and fungal contamination, and phenol red to indicate pH. It is recommended that 2~25°C is the most appropriate temperature for specimen transportation.
