QUALITY CONTROL

The quality of the The EcoExtra™ Magnetic Beads PCR purification kit  is tested on a lot-to-lot basis according to Geneaid's ISO-certified quality management system. DNA fragments are purified from PCR products and analyzed by electrophoresis.

Figure 1 .PCR product DNA fragments ranging from 250 bp-10 kb were extracted using the EcoExtra™ Magnetic Beads PCR Purification Kit (lane 1, 2). The purified DNA from a 40 µl eluate was confirmed by spectrophotometer and analyzed by electrophoresis on a 1% agarose gel. The DNA recovery is higher than 90%, and the ratio of A260/280, A260/230 = 1.8-2.0. M = Geneaid 1 Kb DNA Ladder (control, total DNA = 1 µg)

Figure 2 .The PCR product was purified using the Geneaid EcoExtra™ Magnetic Beads PCR Purification Kit and subsequently sequenced using the ABI 3730 Genetic Analyzer. The sequencing chromatogram shows that both signal strength and background cleanliness are superior to those obtained using column-based purification kits.
